so, while i was out on vacation, instead of hiring a new receptionist (like we were told they were doing), the big boss filled the office manager position that i had suggested to my boss.

one the one hand, i’m glad we’re getting what we need.

on the other hand, none of these assholes even realized it’s what we needed until i pointed it out. so, in addition to not getting offered the job, i also don’t get credit for the idea.

one small bit of consolation is that my HR peer in the corporate office knows i got shafted too. unfortunately, she was also overlooked for the position, so, clearly, no one gives two fucks about what we think.
